Saint Elizabeth University, founded in 1899, is also in Convent Station. Fosterfields Living Historical Farm covers more than 200 acres and preserves an 1854 Revere mansion and a 1915 farmhouse. Trolleys of the Morris County Traction Company served the township until buses replaced them in 1928.
